Welcome to the BECA Digital Lounge!
When posting (anything written, visual, or audio) to the Digital Lounge, please follow the below guidelines. This is a community website moderated by the community, so feel free to
contact the administrator if you feel any of the below guidelines are being infringed.
A. General Guidelines
Be considerate to other users.
1. Be polite, courteous, and constructive.
2. Do not post offensive, defamatory, sexually-orientated, threatening, or otherwise harmful material.
Keep it relevant
1. Posts should be BECA student-related (classes, activities, facilities, student get-togethers, or otherwise) or be media-related in a way that is useful to BECA students.
2. Posts should maintain an intellectual, academic, ethical, technical, and/or artistic standard appropriate to the BECA Graduate student and alumni community.
3. Do not post forwarded emails, jokes, or spam.
B. Creative Works Guidelines
Please share as much of your creative works as possible, especially those created in BECA classes! 'Creative works' include 'developed' written materials (academic papers, essays, articles, etc.), images, videos, and audio.
When you upload to the Digital Lounge, please follow the following guidelines:-
1. You must have been involved (as crewmember, talent, author, etc.) in the production of any work you share. Please state your specific involvement and add any other useful information.
2. Creative works produced during, before, or after joining BECA are all acceptable.
3. Works must be relevant to BECA, the media, or to the Graduate student community.
4. Works must be valuable. They do not necessarily need to be 'good'; they can be works in progress or 'signs of emerging talent'. They must indicate the kind of output that BECA Graduate students and alumni produce on their way to becoming more proficient media practitioners. Ask yourself of anything you upload: Would I include this work in a demo reel as an example of something I made or helped make?
Enjoy the BECA Digital Lounge!
