My latest KPFA environmental radio show: Green building guru David Gottfried

My latest environmental radio show on Berkeley's KPFA was with green building guru David Gottfried. David is an incredible person who has arguably done more to reduce carbon emissions than any other person in the world. That said, I've had few guests on my show who were friendlier and more humble than David. It's a great show - check it out! You can download the (small) MP3 below to listen to the show or stream it from my personal Becadigi page here.

Here's my scripted introduction to the show:

I'm honored to welcome to today's show a most extraordinary individual. After receiving an Engineering and Resource Management degree from Stanford, my guest began his career in real estate before moving into building standards while in Washington DC. In 1993, he established the US Green Building Council, which founded the LEED green building standard and is quoted as being the world's leading green building organization.

Two years later, my guest helped create the World Green Building Council, which now operates in 50 countries and, it is estimated, has done more to reduce carbon emissions than any other organization in the world.

Since 1995, my guest has been CEO of Regenerative Ventures, a green building company which counsels some of the most innovative green companies in the country. A prolific keynote speaker worldwide, he is also author of the book “Greed to Green: the transformation of an industry and a life” and is currently working on a sequel.

I'm honored to welcome to Terra Verde, David Gottfried.
