Profile Information

What semester and year did you join the BECA MA program?

Fall 1987

What semester and year did you leave the BECA MA program? [Answer if applicable]

I left in 1990 , shortly after the Berlin Wall fell, without finishing my MA thesis. Now I'm back to finish the degree.

What are your media emphases and practical experience? If you have graduated, what do you do now?

Main emphasis has been on radio reporting and feature/documentary work in Central Europe. I've worked many years as a reporter for the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation, for public and shortwave radio, and as a freelancer for Deutsche Welle, Radio Netherlands, NPR, and others. I've worked in German and English, and just completed, in German, an educational audio book and sound exhibit on unusual Survival Stories in southern Austria.
